Mchose K99: A Dual Enjoyment of Aesthetics and Quality

In the realm of keyboards, the Mchose K99 stands out with its exceptional design and high-quality performance, successfully positioning itself among the top-tier premium keyboards. Today, let’s delve into the unique charm and outstanding features of the Mchose K99.

Accessories and Design

The Mchose K99 comes with a comprehensive accessory list, including a user manual, a quick start guide, a detachable data cable, a keycap puller, two replacement switches, and a dust cover. These accessories complement the keyboard itself, providing users with a complete experience. Weighing in at nearly 2.5 pounds, the K99 delivers a solid feel in hand. Its appearance and texture leave a lasting impression, particularly the Sky Blue color, which offers a fresh and transparent look that harmonizes beautifully with the warm white casing, creating a uniquely comfortable visual experience. The surface design adds depth, with a minimalist front layout and recessed arrow keys that, while lacking the 2U0 design, still maintain an overall aesthetic appeal.

RGB Lighting and Connectivity

The Mchose K99 features a vertical RGB ambient light bar at the top, accompanied by a keyboard lock indicator light, enhancing the gaming atmosphere. Additionally, the Type-C port, mode switch, and 2.4G receiver are conveniently integrated into the right front of the keyboard for easy access. The surround RGB ambient lighting and mirrored decorative strip further elevate the keyboard's quality, though the mirrored finish may attract fingerprints—this does not detract from its overall beauty.

Back Design and Keycaps

The back of the keyboard is equally refined, featuring an anodized weight block and detailed texturing that offers a pleasant tactile experience. The dual-stage feet design, while having a lighter open/close resistance, effectively prevents accidental retraction. The PPT two-color injected keycaps provide a dry touch, clear characters, and well-processed backwater, resulting in excellent overall quality.

Switches and Feel

The Mchose K99 is equipped with the Flowing Ice Cream Switch, a custom box structure switch from Kaihua, featuring a POK stem and POM housing. This switch provides an exceptional tactile feel with high smoothness, a clean keystroke sound, a triggering force of 42 grams, a travel distance of 1.3mm, and a total travel distance of 3.5mm. It is a fast-trigger linear switch, making it perfect for gamers while also suitable for office typing.

Structure and Padding

The K99 utilizes a gasket structure, combining horizontally grooved PC positioning plates with single-key grooved PCBs to offer a firm typing experience. The internal padding is comprehensive, including PO foam, IXPE pads under the switches, PET sound-dampening PO seat foam, PET bottom pads, and PN bottom foam—totaling six layers of padding to ensure the keyboard's stability and noise reduction.

Lighting and Battery

The Mchose K99 boasts excellent brightness levels in its lighting effects, with the default lighting options being more than sufficient. Users can also customize the lighting effects through software to express their individuality. Although it comes with a 6000mAh battery, an 8000mAh battery may be more suitable for the K99’s lighting needs.

Conclusion

Overall, I hold the Mchose K99 in high regard. It excels not only in design but also in performance, having undergone rigorous market testing. The Mchose K99 is undoubtedly a keyboard worth having, catering to users seeking both aesthetics and quality.
